Born and raised in Moon Area, Dr. Joe performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Following this, Dr. Joe completed his professional education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he was recipient of numerous scholarships and awards.

In 1987 Dr. Joe returned to the Pittsburgh area and founded the Pittsburgh Vision Center in McMurray. He infused Pittsburgh Vision Center with the goal of providing high-tech vision care. Treatments include advanced laser vision correction and bifocal contact lenses. In addition, Dr. Joe provides specialized vision consultations to professional athletes.

In his effort to further help youth, Dr. Joe created Red Apple Learning Center in 2001. Here, Dr. Joe custom designs learning programs to help students of all ages improve their skills. His students travel from as far away as Kansas City and Atlanta for programs developed for dyslexia, visual perceptual difficulties, SAT preparation and sports performance.

Dr. Joe lives with his wife and children in Peters Twp. They enjoy the outdoors and travel. Dr. Joe coaches numerous youth sports including baseball, softball and basketball. Dr. Joe frequently participates in fundraisers for a multitude of causes.

Dr. Joe is a two time past president of Peters Twp. Chamber of Commerce. He serves as general partner for a number of limited investment partnerships.

Dr. Joe has been an advisor to numerous businesses.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Observer Reporter Newspapers have both published articles on Dr. Joe Falbo's work. He has also been featured on KDKA-TV News, WTAE Radio, and KQV Radio programs.
